Health Services Information Specialists are the backbone of any doctor's office, hospital, or other health care facility. The Information Specialists greet patients, update and file patient medical records, fill out insurance forms, handle correspondence, schedule appointments, arrange for hospital admission and laboratory services, answer telephones, and perform bookkeeping functions.

The Health Services Information Specialist program is designed for individuals seeking an entry-level career in Health Services information processing.
Upon completion of the program graduates are qualified to take a computerized certification exam with NHA. Upon passing the NHA certification, our graduates will hold the certifications of Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) and/or Billing & Coding Specialist Certification (CBCS).
